Candy made this great 2 page spread using
KaiserCraft Hideaway papers and embellishments. The scans do
not show all the detailing very well, but many of the
flowers were cut out, distressed, and embellished with
liquid pearls before being attached to the page. This is a
very 3D spread. The chipboard is glittered, there are ribbon
embellishments, and the photo panels are layered, allowing
for framing and dimension. Brads were used to attach the
flowers. If you get a chance, stop in and look at the
originals at Peddlers Den, and at the new KaiserCraft papers
and embellishments!

Candy made these pages using KaiserCraft Peek-A-Boo
papers and embellishments. The page on the left features
flower with button centers and fiber ties. The chipboard
year is framed by a banner of "flags", brads secure the
poem, and the "stitched" borders have been hand drawn on the
heart. Most attractive, and impossible to appreciate in the
scan, is the pleated paper beneath the poem and flowers.
Altogether this is a very upscale, 3D layout suitable for
any occasion and those of any age.
The page on the right is for a baby. It, too, features a
banner of "flags" with hand drawn stitching borders, and
popped up medallions which were cut from the paper. The
photo panel is layered, the chipboard is positioned in a
non-traditional way, and the elements display perfect
balance.
If you get a chance, stop in and look at the originals at
Peddlers Den, and at the new KaiserCraft papers and
embellishments!

Below is a layout that
Candy did for us using papers from Graphic45's Playtime Past
collection. Candy provided very detailed scans from multiple view
points to help you see the beautiful layers and the way that she used
this versatile paper collection. Graphic45 is a company that Peddlers
Den found at Summer CHA. It has beautiful papers in both traditional
and whimsical themes. Playtime Past is in stock, and has been very
popular so far. A visit to Candy's site
(www.certifiedscrapaholic.com) will allow you to view some of her
other work, much of which showcases projects featuring other
Graphic45 papers.
Lisa
McCortney

Hi, my name is Lisa McCortney. I have been married for
almost 9 years to quite possibly the most wonderful man
alive. I have one beautiful teenage daughter, Brittany, who
needless to say keeps me hopping. We live in Oswego and I
have been scrapbooking for 7 years now. I was introduced to
the wonderful world of scrapbooking by my sister and have
been hooked ever since. So hooked, in fact, that in 2005 I
started my very own scrapbooking business by opening a local
store, Remembrances, then switching to online retail a year
later so I could be home more with my family.
My inspiration for scrapbooking comes from my love of
creating, my family; past and present and wanting to
preserve the memories for my daughter and her children. I
have seen what can happen to photos that are not properly
preserved and now I'm on a mission to change that. I also
love to create albums for people as gifts; especially to see
the look on their face when they are not expecting
it........priceless! My style of scrapbooking is more
traditional but I do on occassion delve into modern
technology to create and broaden my crafting horizon. I am
all about embellishing and 3 dimension. There is just no
replacement for the look and feel of a traditional style
scrapbook.
Though I tend to scrapbook at home every chance I get, I
enjoy the camaraderie of a crop and the opportunity to steal
ideas from my fellow scrapbookers. I believe the friendships
formed through this hobby are undoubtedly a bond that is for
life. It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful and friendly
this group of people are and how lucky I am to be a part of
it.
I am so excited to be on Peddler's Den design team and
look forward to creating wonderful layouts and crafts for
your viewing pleasure. Hopefully my work will inspire you
and offer some great ideas for your next project. You can
find me at www.remembrances.biz.

Lisa made this two page spread for us using the
KaiserCraft Hideaway papers and embellishments. Lisa has
emphasized the beauty of the paper, and focused on one
personal photo which is matted and framed, and embellished
with flowers and brads. The partner page also features brade
and flowers, and between the two, creates a specific
atmosphere.

The first project packet we gave
to Lisa included a clear chipboard mini-book by Fancy Pants,
Graphic45 papers and a host of embellishments. She made us a very
nice mini-book which utilizes many techniques. This has been
displayed at Peddlers Den, and some of you have had the privilege of
actually handling and viewing it "live". I confess that I am slow
getting this up on our website. It turns out it is a bit of a
challenge to scan or photograph it adequately. However, here it
is!

Notice the clear on clear on the right hand page, and the
embellishments that Lisa included.

The Fancy Pants mini-book kit includes not only pages,
but a wide variety of transparent embellishments, some which
are used here.

As you thumb through the book, the transparent feature
creates new glimpses of old elements.
