Class Registration Opens August
1st
Classes for
October 2013 will feature a steady progression of techniques to
help beginners, even those who have NEVER done scene building before,
to gradually and steadily increase their skill level over the course
of the retreat. Specific cards for each class are not shown because
we are in the process of updating our classes and including some of
the NEW 2013 images from Stampscapes.
ALL classes must be pre-registered for and prepaid. This enables us to prepare the correct number of class kits, and we typically do not prepare extras. We reserve the right to cancel any class that has less than 4 registrants, and to add additional choices for the techniques that appear to be the most popular. In the event a class is cancelled, you will be notified and your fees will be refunded.
Order and prepay for your supplies and get a 10% discount. The order form will be available when the class schedule is published.
Scene Building / Masking
Tutorial
Complimentary
to retreat attendees.
You must register to allow me to know how many material packets to
prepare.
This is a complimentary session for retreat
attendees who have not done scene building (masking) before. It is
designed to give those not proficient in scene building and masking a
good jump start to the retreat. This will help you understand the
various materials used to mask, how to mask, how to use the tonal
applicator, some basic error correction tips including the use of the
stamp positioner, and using Copic pens to repair images. Tips
pertaining to what inks and papers to use for each technique will be
included. Bring detail scissors, tonal applicator stamp and assorted
sizes acrylic blocks. REGISTRATION REQUIRED so that I know how many
class packs to prepare.
White Pencil Vintage
Scenes This is a great class for beginners, but also fun for
experienced stampers. Details to be announced August
1st.
Watercolor Pencils
Use watercolor pencils and
waterbrushes to make beautiful scenes. Must have at least a set of 24
pencils, but a 48 or 60 pencil set will give you much better
results.
Airbrushed Backgrounds
Participants must bring their own sketch style Copic
markers. Details to be announced August 1st.
Quickscapes
Fun cards that require little or
no masking.
Fast & Fun Beginner
Stippling With Templates
These are very fast and fun cards for any skill level.
Participants must have their own stipple brushes. We recommend size 4
or 6, but sizes 2, 4, 6 or 8 will work.
Icy Cold
Winterscapes
I rarely do a winter scene without a heavy dose of glitter.
Glitter helps to bring an icy, cold, crisp accent your snowy, winter
scenes.
Putting It All
Together
This takes beginners to the next
step of scenic stamping.
